About Us

My husband and I are animal people. We love animals. Throughout our childhood, and as adults, our home has always been blessed with furry family members and an occasional wild animal guest in need of love and healing. We believe that we humans can learn so much from animals. Their intrinsic ability to live in the present moment and love unconditionally brings peace and happiness into our lives.

“Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains  unawakened.”                                           Anatole France

Although we are blessed with twenty-one beautiful nieces and nephews, we do not have “two legged children” of our own. Our pets are our immediate family. We consider them our children - loving them with all our hearts. In return, they have added immeasurable joy and value to our lives.

How it began:

It is clear to us now that one four legged “kid” in particular came to us on a mission in 1998. Little did we know then that when this 30 pound, 11 week old cutie pie became a part of our family, he would change our lives forever and lead us to an understanding of what our pets need and don’t need to live longer, healthier, happier lives.

Zeus, an English Mastiff, who eventually became our 245 pound bundle of joy, was our greatest teacher. It was through his unnecessary suffering that we began to embark on a journey of research that has brought us to where we are today. We said goodbye to Zeus with a kiss and a promise that his sacrifice would not be in vain - we are dedicated to sharing the lessons we learned through him with other concerned parents of companion animals and animal caretakers.

Our goals are to provide information and products meant to enhance and extend the life of companion animals; inspire companion animal parents and professionals to advance the well-being of four-legged family members by helping them to naturally thrive; and to establish and grow a fund to be used to help less fortunate animals who suffer due to greed, neglect, abuse and other unconscionable, inhumane behavior.

If you have given a safe, comfortable home to an animal and provide it with love, shelter, water and food, you are a friend of animals. Millions of dogs and cats never find a family to love and be loved by. The fact that you are reading this indicates that you wish to learn as much as possible about keeping your pet healthy and with you for as long as possible. We are happy to share what we have learned through our experiences, research, and the knowledge we have gained from other like minded pet guardians and veterinary healthcare professionals.

“When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others”. Proverb

It is our hope that you will review our information with an open mind and do your own research. We encourage you to share what you learn with others, and we welcome any further insight you might have to share with us. Ultimately, you know what is best for your animal companion. We believe that those who choose a different course of providing for their pets than we recommend certainly do not care for or love them any less.

It is your right and obligation to make decisions for your loved one’s care. They count on you for this and you are perfectly capable of doing so. Be confident in your choices for them. You can bet they are!

We look forward to working with you to help improve the quality of your pet’s life.

Warmest regards,

Sharon & Mike
